Tribeca Film Festival — Event Promotion Films
Ron Howard
Bob Weir
Damon Albarn
Playtime was brought on to create three films for the Tribeca Film Festival in New York.
The Ron Howard film is a comedic short that opened his career retrospective talk at the festival. Howard plays an unhinged version of himself, with every gag a callback to one of his most famous films.
Bob Weir's film follows the Grateful Dead co-founder as he performs at Tribeca ahead of the premiere of The Other One, the documentary made about him and includes some hilarious and profound moments.
The Damon Albarn film follows him through a Tribeca concert, centred on a song called Mr. Tembo and some hilarious interaction with Smoggy, his bodyguard and lifelong friend.
